Cleansing and blessing the home

One of the most important things to do as a follower of Christ, is to cleanse your home and bless it. Once the general cleansing is done, then you can bless it. You don’t have to have a pastor, or anyone come and do it unless it’s what you want to do. This is perfectly fine if you are not strong in your faith yet. Everyone is on different levels in their faith.

First things first, Cleansing. To be able to cleanse your home you must purify yourself and repent with a truthful heart. You can do this by taking time in prayer and asking God to forgive you of your sins, search your heart and mind to remove anything that is not from him or in his will. You must remember who you are in Christ and pray like you believe it has already happened.

Once you do this the home cleansing can begin. You may write down your words if you like but you must be consistent and confident in how you speak. You Have to speak with the authority and in the name of Jesus Christ. Go to each door, window, and storage space in your home. I will include some prayers that will be sufficient or if you have another feel free to use what you are comfortable with. Just make sure you cover some basics in what you’re saying.

Prayer is as follows:

Heavenly Father, king of the universe. I pray for holy spirit to fill me and this home. Let your peace and protection take over this home and all those in in it. Lord, I bless and cleanse this home and rebuke all unclean spirits in mighty name of Jesus Christ! Keep your shield over this home and those in it. No weapon formed against this family will prosper. I pray this in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit -Amen!

This prayer is to be repeated throughout the home and everywhere as stated above. This is a very important thing to do as a believer. This is crucial if you move into a new home also. I like to do this before or after I have visitors that I don’t know well or if I know they aren’t believers. People can have things attached to them and have no idea. These spirits can sit dormant and are very patient. Make sure you don’t have any items in your home such as dreamcatchers, rabbits’ feet, crystals, especially Ouija boards or any other items like these. They are considered accursed objects.

When people have these objects in their home and especially if they are using them, they come into agreements with demonic forces and welcome in dark spirits. Demons can use Ouija boards as portals. Those are not games, and it is insane they are marketed towards teens and children. The devil’s kingdom is the earth. He is the hater of all that is good and seeks to pervert and destroy Gods glory and his creation. It is our job as Gods children to fight the spirit realm with prayer, reading the word, and living by his commandments. If we allow any sin in our life, this gives the devil a foothold to sneak in.

The devil and his angels are ancient beings that have been around since before creation. They have spent this time deceiving mankind, beginning with the first humans ever made.

He has not stopped, he has only gotten smarter by studying our words, our likes, our weaknesses, what we love, what we don’t like, our mannerisms, etc. There are monitoring spirits who listen when we pray and go after what we miss or express any grief about. This is why we need to be strong in our prayers and faith. We have authority over the devil and his angels. You must know who you are in the lord without doubt. As his children we must be united in our belief in God and that we can literally do all things because he gives us our strength! God bless you all on your faith journey.
